Work permits for your foreign staff: the employer files, we prepare the file

In Türkiye a work permit is the employer's application. Under Law 6735 art. 7 and the implementing regulation (arts. 11 and 15), the employer submits through the e-İzin system with its own secure electronic signature, receives notices at its own e-tebligat address, and must cure deficiencies within 30 days. We prepare the complete data pack, check eligibility before you start, sit with your HR during entry if you want, and track every deadline. We never file in our own name.

How it works

1

Employer account and pre-check

You share current SGK headcount, paid-in capital, last balance sheet and the job description. We tell you whether the ratios hold, which wage category applies, and whether the sector needs a pre-permit (ön izin — health, education and a few others). If the file cannot pass, you hear it now, not after paying harç.

2

Employee data pack

Checklist to the employee in their language. Passport and diploma translated and notarised through our document chain; diploma equivalence flagged where the job requires it. In-country applicants need a residence permit with at least six months' validity; abroad, a work-visa reference from the consulate.

3

e-İzin entry and e-signature

Field-by-field pack in the order of the system. Your HR enters; we check each screen before you proceed. Your authorised signatory e-signs. You pay the harç and card fee against the reference issued. Standard turnaround from complete documents to a ready pack: three business days.

4

Deficiency window and decision

We monitor the file status and your e-tebligat for deficiency notices. If one arrives, the cure pack is ready within two business days — well inside the 30-day limit. On approval: card arrival, SGK registration coaching, renewal set for 60 days before expiry.

Documents — employer

  • Activity certificate (faaliyet belgesi) and trade registry gazette
  • Tax plate and most recent approved balance sheet and income statement (SMMM-certified)
  • SGK registration and current employee declaration (aylık prim hizmet belgesi)
  • Signature circular and the signatory's e-signature
  • Employment contract in the system's format, signed by both parties
  • Sector-specific: pre-permit letters, licences, project documents where applicable

Documents — employee

  • Passport (valid at least 60 days beyond the permit requested), notarised translation
  • Diploma or certificate, apostilled abroad, notarised translation; denklik where the profession requires it
  • Biometric photo to specification
  • Current residence permit (in-country) or visa reference number (abroad)
  • CV, and for some professions proof of experience

What can go wrong

  • Ratio fails after a resignation. Five Turkish employees per foreigner is checked at decision, not just at filing. We watch your headcount through the process.
  • Missed deficiency notice. The notice goes to the e-tebligat address; if nobody opens it, 30 days pass and the application dies. This is the single most common cause of refusal.
  • Wage below category. Engineers, managers and specialists must be paid a multiple of the minimum wage; a contract at the wrong figure is refused.
  • Residence permit with under six months left for an in-country application. Renew the permit first, or apply from abroad.
  • Diploma without apostille or with a title the Ministry does not match to the job. Checked at step 2.
  • Employer confirmation not done in the system within 30 days of entry. We remind you until it is.

Ministry processing time is commonly 30 days from a complete file; longer if a deficiency round occurs. We do not and cannot shorten it.

Questions

Can you file the work permit for us?

No. Under Law 6735 art. 7 and the implementing regulation (arts. 11 and 15), in-country applications are made by the employer through the e-İzin system with the employer's secure electronic signature, and the employer confirms the application in the system. We prepare every field and document, sit with your HR while they enter it if you wish, and track the file afterwards. The submission is yours.

What are the eligibility ratios?

As a rule, the employer must have at least five Turkish citizen employees registered with SGK per foreign worker, paid-in capital of at least ₺100,000 or equivalent turnover or export figures, and must pay the foreign employee at least the minimum wage multiple set for the job category. Exemptions exist for certain sectors and for the foreign partner of the company. We check these against your SGK and tax records before you pay.

What is the 30-day deficiency window?

If the Ministry finds a document missing or inconsistent, it issues a deficiency notice to the employer's e-tebligat address, and the employer must cure it within 30 days or the application is treated as withdrawn. Most refusals in practice are missed deficiency notices. We monitor the file and prepare the cure the day the notice lands.

Do you handle independent or indefinite permits for individuals?

Not at present. Those are the individual's own applications with different criteria; we may add guidance later. If the matter involves a refusal or an appeal, that is legal work — retain a lawyer directly.
